Aronia Berry
MIDWESTERN ROOTS
While aronia berries are native to North America, they have traveled. They journeyed to Eastern Europe where they were selected and bred into the cultivars that we grow today. Poland is currently the largest producer of aronia berries, and much of the aronia berries and aronia berry products available in the US are coming from Poland, which means we’re importing our own native berry!
At Inspire Me, Rosa, we’re trying to change that. We are working with Midwest aronia farmers and processors, creating products and markets right here at home.
